Evidence found that fish have been eaten!
I went up to the lake today, the 3rd of January, fed the fish and had a wonder around.
Just as I was leaving I noticed some remains of fish on the bank. I picked them up and inspected them.
They were from a carp, one of the larger ones we have in the lake. The gill coverings look to be from a fish around 30cm in length and the scales could be from the mirror carp, Morris.
We need to get stated on the cormorant deterrants urgently now and find some way of making life hard for herons.
Help needed please!!

don't think its cormorant or herons come to that.....those birds normally eat the fish whole. Could it be your fabled otter has decided its got a nice easy meal in the lake? Or could it be a mink?
