work that needs doing Empty work that needs doing

We have loads of work that needs doing at the lake.
We have a bird table in the shed that needs putting together. There are loads of trees to plant and water plants to be placed in the conservation area.
We are waiting for confirmation about the wood to build the platforms. The nettles need strimming down.
Gorse needs to be planted on the clay bank.
The fish safety areas should be ready to make within a few weeks.
But sadly this all depends on the weather, if its blowing a gale and throwing down we cant do the work.

On Sunday the 27th of Jan Jo, Dave, Tom W, Barry, Di & Pete (Liam & his M8 fished most of the time) planted alot of trees, native, fruit and fruit bushes. We planted some water plants, made a lean to for odd bits of wood and put a lock on the loo.
Thanks and well done for all your help. Very Happy Smile cheers

work that needs doing Empty Sunday 3rd Feb

Post  Jo Thu Jan 31, 2008 2:26 pm

Hi All,
I have been informed that we are getting the pallets delivered to the farm on Sunday 3rd of Feb.
These are big, heavy pallets. I cant lift them because my right arm is too weak, Sad so any help would be appreciated.
I can however keep the brews coming! Very Happy
The pallets are being used for the tops of the fishing platforms so they are very important. Surprised
Hopefully the wood to make the platforms wont be too long in coming either. Rolling Eyes
If you can help please let me know.
I dont have times as yet but I dont think it will be too early.
I hope to see some of you at the lake on Sunday.
Thanks

work that needs doing Empty Thanx

Post  Jo Sun Feb 03, 2008 2:21 pm

Thanks to everybody who turned up to help on Sunday.
We planted the rest of the water plants into the conservation area. We made the bird & bat boxes safe. We got a start on the fish safety areas.
We also got 22 pallets for the tops of the platforms.
The nettle stalks were strimmed down, but there are still loads more to do.
The tress and fruit bushes got extra stakes in and rabbit guards.
A list of names of people who helped has been kept so we know who is doing the work and who isnt.

Well done and we will let you know when the next one is.
Hopefully the wood will have been delivered by then.
